Spring 2026 Grafting Classes
Come out to the farm this spring and get hands on experience with in field grafting. We will top-work fruit tree rootstock that has been planted in previous years. I will demonstrate 2 grafting techniques and a variety of ways they can be used on different sizes and ages of rootstock. You will leave this class with the skills, knowledge and confidence to go home and graft your own trees.
When you sign up for a grafting class I will send you a list of recommended grafting materials to have for your own grafting. You can bring these to class with you but I will also have enough materials for you to use in class with some sharing. Each class is capped at 5 participants to give everyone ample independent instruction time. I will go over both "Cleft" and "Bark" grafting and different applications for both. Everyone will get the chance to make many practice cuts and grafts before getting to top work some fruit trees at Olivia's Orchard. There will be scion wood available for purchase at the end of the class so you can go home and continue grafting.
